Each season everyone in the menswear industry loves to see what is happening at Pitti. The questions start flying. Who is showing? What are we going to see? What will be new? And, perhaps the most worrying, what am I going to wear?

Photographers and editors who visit Pitti cover not only what brands are unveiling at the show, but also what people attending the show are wearing.

Street style photographer Tommy Ton is one of the best at capturing the trends of the season on some of the best-dressed gentlemen. One of the trends captured by Tommy’s lens is the exaggerated Glen plaid print.

Glen plaid is fashion-forward, but it can also be toned down for everdaywear. Pair a Glen plaid sportcoat, like our Mahogany Collection Black Large Scale Plaid Sportcoat, with the Sterling Collection Gingham Dress Shirt in Grey and charcoal grey flannel trousers for a modern but work-appropriate look. Flannel trousers, like our Mahogany Collection Grey Melange Wool Trouser, are on trend for the next few months, and will also keep you toasty for the morning walk to the office.

For a more laid-back look, pair a Glen plaid sportcoat with these comfortable and slim Sterling Collection Pieced Waistband Chinos. There is a contrast lining to these pants that can be seen when the pants are cuffed. Add a wingtip brogue shoe and the Hickey Freeman Sterling Collection Dot Sport Shirt. The shirt is lightweight and slim, with a subtle dot pattern in grey, giving you a monochromatic look to pair against the checked jacket. Alternatively, substitute a white oxford.
