How To: Layering Menswear
For this season, layering is a key trend that will also hep get you through those cold days. Layering is an art form that many do not get right. While adding layers gives your outfit dimension, it can also add bulk to your body if not done correctly. There are a few easy reminders one should keep in the back of his head while getting ready to layer and embrace the trend of fall.
First is color. Mix colors but make sure they are from the same color family or tie into one another.
Secondly, choose what you are going to layer wisely. While adding layers is great for the outdoors, once you get inside you can start to sweat. You want to make sure your outfit is indoor appropriate or you are able to peel off one of the layers and still look put together.
The expert stylists and designers at Hickey Freeman have come together to give an example of a great layered outfit that can take you from work straight to a Restaurant Week dinner in your city! Here is a layer by layer outfit for fall.
